About the cat's mark
The Cat’s Mark is a nonprofit, foster-based cat rescue dedicated to helping senior and vulnerable cats find safety, care, and loving forever homes.
Not yet. All of our adoptable cats live in private foster homes until they are ready for adoption.
Adoption
You can submit an adoption application through our website here. Once received, a team member will contact you with next steps.
Adoption fees typically include age appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter, deworming, microchipping, and basic vet check.
Yes. Once your application is approved, we will arrange a meet-and-greet with the foster family.
Often, yes! Many cats, especially kittens thrive in pairs. Having a companion helps reduce loneliness, encourages healthy play, and can prevent behavior issues caused by boredom. Cats who grow up or live with a buddy tend to be more confident, well-socialized, and emotionally fulfilled. While a single cat can absolutely be happy with plenty of human interaction, adopting two can provide built-in comfort, enrichment, and lifelong friendship.
Cat Care & Material
All cats receive age-appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, deworming, and any medical treatment recommended by our veterinarians.
We follow age classifications used by veterinary professionals, typically considering cats 7+ years as seniors.
After adoption, The Cat’s Mark is no longer responsible for veterinary costs. We encourage you to take your new cat to your veterinarian soon after bringing them home to become established. While we can’t cover medical expenses, we’re happy to offer guidance and support to help your cat settle in and stay healthy.
Fostering
