Rehoming services

Need to rehome a cat? We provide compassionate support to help cats find safe, loving new homes.

A Loving Path Forward for You and Your Cat

At The Cat’s Mark, we’re honored to support families during some of life’s most delicate transitions. Our rehoming service is designed to help seniors and individuals with a terminal illness find safe, loving homes for their beloved cats before the need becomes urgent.

Rather than placing cats into a shelter or foster system, we help them move directly from their current home into their new, permanent one. This allows each cat to stay with their person for as long as possible, offering comfort, companionship, and stability when it’s needed most.

We frequently assist when

We encourage families to reach out as early as possible, especially when planning ahead is an option. Many of the cats we help are seniors themselves. The average age is around 7 and we proudly place cats with medical needs or those well into their golden years. Every cat deserves a second forever home filled with comfort, kindness, and care.

Our rehoming service is available in Park County, Wyoming and there are no costs associated with using this service or adopting.

How It Works

Because this service is in high demand, there may be a waitlist of up to two weeks before we can begin the adoption process. We strongly encourage you to apply as early as possible, especially if you anticipate upcoming changes.

Emergency Veterinary Support

From time to time during the adoption process, one of our adoptable cats suddenly requires urgent veterinary care. These moments can be emotionally and financially overwhelming, especially for seniors nearing the end of their lives or for families grieving the recent loss of a loved one.

With the support of our community, we aim to provide a safety net for these cats by covering more than $10,000 in emergency veterinary expenses each year. Your kindness helps ensure that no cat goes without the care they deserve when it matters most.

Your generosity helps cats leave their mark on a better life.
